• CALL FOR PAPERS

The Scientific and Programme Committee of the Conference invites scholars and practitioners to submit Abstract contributions for consideration.

The presenting author (as indicated and, if needed, updated in the system by the submitting author) must have registered and paid the conference fee by 15.03.2025 to avoid exclusion from the conference programme and the book of abstracts (Book of Abstracts 2024).

The main topics of the contributions are listed in the Focus section.

For an Abstract to enter the review process and be considered for presentation during the conference, the following guidelines must be adhered to:

Length: the overall text length of an Abstract has to be between 650 and 800 words, i.e., excluding title, author names and references (maximum 6 references).

Text only: Abstracts should include text only, i.e., images (pictures, figures, and tables) are not accepted.

Title: use a brief title to clearly indicate the nature of the research/project/contribution; capitalise the first letter of each word; do not use abbreviations in the title.

Author names: provide names of all authors, their institutional affiliation, and e-mail addresses during the online submission process.

Language: Abstracts must be in English only.

Abstracts should be structured using the following sections:

    1. Aim and Research Questions
    2. Theoretical Background and Literature Review
    3. Research Design, Methodology and Data Analysis
    4. Results/Findings and Discussion
    5. Conclusion
    6. References (maximum 6; to be entered in an extra box during the submission process)

    Full papers

Selected contributions may be published in the journal Journal of Sport Management, Science, Education and Practice as full papers. The journal is suitable for young researchers and PhD students.

In both cases, you can adapt the templates to your topic and type of presentation (scientific or project presentation, etc.).

The presentation has to be divided into three key parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The length of the presentation should be 15 minutes, including discussion. If possible, the presentation should be sent to smicee.conference@gmail.com at least two days before the conference.
The poster should also be sent to the above email in advance so that the organizing team can arrange for its printing in A3 size. (If you want to present the poster in a larger format, include the request in the email.)
